Alexa Voss
Attorney
From the moment I decided to become a lawyer, I knew I wanted to dedicate my career to helping children and families. During law school, I worked with the Durham County Department of Social Services in the abuse, neglect, and dependency courtroom, where my commitment to providing compassionate and effective legal representation was solidified. That experience reinforced the importance of guiding clients through difficult situations with both empathy and practical, sound legal advice.
As a full-time family law practitioner, I strive to help clients navigate emotionally challenging circumstances while preserving important family relationships whenever possible. I understand that family law matters can have a lasting impact on every member of a family, especially children, and I work to make the legal process as smooth and manageable as possible for all involved.
I approach each case based on its unique needs, whether through alternative dispute resolution or traditional litigation. In many situations, negotiated resolutions outside of court provide the most constructive path forward. At the same time, I recognize that settlement is not always possible, and I am prepared to advocate zealously for my clients when litigation becomes necessary.
My guiding principle is that each client is the captain of their own ship. My role is to help them navigate the legal process, provide clarity during uncertain times, and equip them with the knowledge and support needed to make informed decisions for themselves and their families.
