For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to work with families facing hardships and life’s uncertainties. Growing up as the oldest sibling of three with a single father and our own experiences with the family law system, I quickly knew that family law would be a fulfilling path and that my personal experiences would allow me to connect on a deeper level with others facing difficult times. Receiving quality care and true compassion can be definitive in how you remember your experience with our legal system. I am determined to create opportunities to make those experiences positive for each client or family I serve.
As the Vice President of the Family Law Society in law school, I was engaged with the community and fostered conversations about important and relevant family law matters. I interned with the Honorable Judge Brian Tomlin of the Guilford County District Court, where I was able to observe and work directly with the court on various family law matters. Recognizing that family law touches so many different areas of the law, I also participated in the Volunteer Tax Aide Clinic, assisting members of our community through the complexities of paperwork each tax season.
When I am not practicing law, you may find me spending time outdoors exploring a new walking trail, either by myself or with a foster dog! I am a proud SPCA volunteer and have learned how working with animals and spending time alone allows you to reset so that you can bring the best version of yourself to your every day.
