When I started law school at Wake Forest University, I had eight years of experience in the restaurant industry, an outdated law dictionary on my home bookshelf, and enough knowledge to realize that I had a lot to learn. I built my legal career on a strong work ethic and a commitment to grounding my education in real-world experience. That foundation still guides my practice today—approaching every client with empathy, respect, and the belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported throughout their legal journey.
I practice law to make a difference—for my clients, for the integrity of the profession, and for the greater good.. Growing up in a small, tourist-centric town on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, I encountered a rotating cast of personalities from diverse backgrounds. My early career in the restaurant industry—spanning the Appalachian and Piedmont regions of North Carolina—shaped my ability to understand and connect with an even wider range of personalities. . In working with people from all walks of life, one thing became clear to me: the law impacts everyone, , but not everyone feels empowereded to navigate it. The law is built on complex theories and can be communicated in a language that feels out of reach. , I chose to practice law to change that - to bridge the gap for clients who know that they want to stand up for themselves, but need someone to show them how.
When a client seeks my help, my goal is to identify their legal challenge, empower them to confidently evaluate their options, and ensure they feel supported every step of the way.
