“Knowledge is power.” These three words guide both my approach to the practice of law and the relationships I build with every client and family I serve. I joined Sodoma Law after spending six years at the Council for Children’s Rights in Charlotte, where I represented children in high-conflict custody cases. In that role, I worked closely with not just the children, but with entire families—navigating the emotional, psychological, and legal complexities that arise during separation and divorce. This deeply human experience shaped my understanding of the emotional toll these transitions can take and ignited my passion for family law as a path to healing and resolution. My background also includes clerking for a federal judge—an experience that gave me an inside view of the judicial system at one of the highest levels. A federal clerkship is a prestigious position where I supported the judge in reviewing cases, drafting legal opinions, and analyzing complex legal issues. This role sharpened my legal reasoning, deepened my understanding of litigation strategy, and strengthened my ability to anticipate how judges think—an invaluable skill set I now use to advocate effectively for my clients. I later became a litigation partner at a large law firm, where I handled high-stakes cases with sophisticated legal and procedural demands. Practicing in that environment honed my trial skills, sharpened my ability to manage complex matters under pressure, and gave me a depth of experience in both negotiation and advocacy. It also underscored how important it is to have a confident, experienced lawyer in your corner—especially when the stakes are personal. At the heart of my work is a genuine desire to serve and empower families. At Sodoma Law, I feel like I am able to do just that. And, as a mother, there is no question that I understand the emotional weight that family transitions carry. I bring both
