On October 1, 2013, the Charlotte Women’s Bar and the Mecklenburg Medical Society came together to support the Safe Alliance Clyde and Ethel Dickson Domestic Violence Shelter in Charlotte. The “Fighting for Women with Fashion” was held at the Foundation of the Carolinas and was a huge success. With the support of local women lawyers and physicians, hundreds gathered to cheer on their peers, make silent bids and raffle items. More than $36,000 was raised by the event, all of which benefits the Shelter.
